Awards Summary
District 4 Awards
Every year, District 4 sponsors several awards recognizing
both clubs and individuals for their outstanding performances
during the year in the areas of member education, leadership,
and the overall promotion of the Toastmasters program.
District Achievement
The District recognizes
members (and their clubs) who have gone above and beyond
the call of duty with the following awards. The District
4 Public Relations Officer administers these awards.
Golden Quill
Awarded semiannually at both the Fall and Spring District
Conferences to the editor of the best club newsletter
in the district.
Silver Scribe
Awarded annually at the Spring District Conference to
the editor of the best area or division newsletter in
the district. Follow same guidelines as Golden Quill
Award.
Platinum Page
Awarded annually at the Spring District Conference to
the webmaster of the best club web site in the district.
District Leadership
The District presents the following awards to recognize
exceptional individual contribution at the club, area,
division, and district levels:
Golden Gate Award
Awarded annually at the Spring District Conference to
a member who has shown consistent service and dedication
to the organization.
Toastmaster of the Year
Awarded annually at the Spring District Conference to
the top Toastmaster in the district.
Area Governor of the Year
Awarded annually at the Spring District Conference to
the top Area Governor in the district.
Division Governor of the Year
Awarded annually at the Spring District Conference to
the top Division Governor in the district.
Toastmasters International Awards
Toastmasters International also sponsors a number of special awards
recognizing clubs at the international level. Descriptions of many of
the awards can are available on the Toastmasters International Membership Contests page.
Distinguished Club Awards
Awarded to clubs for outstanding achievement in
education, membership, club leadership, and club communication.
Annual Membership Program
Acknowledges individuals who sponsor new members during the Toastmasters year July 1 – June 30. Be sure that your name and home club number appear on the new member’s application. If you sponsor 5 or 10 new members, you receive a special pin. If you sponsor 15 new members, you receive a special discount code for 25% off your next product purchase from Toastmasters International World Headquarters.
Smedley Award
Commemorates the founding of Toastmasters International on October 22 1924, by recognizing Clubs that add 5+ members during August and September. Clubs that do so will receive a club banner ribbon and a special discount code for 10% off the next club order from Toastmasters International.
Talk-Up Toastmasters
Recognizes clubs that add 5+ members during February and March with a club banner ribbon and a special discount code for 10% off the next club order from Toastmasters International. You can encourage your members to invite guests to a special meeting where regular procedures are augmented by a discussion of Toastmasters' many benefits.
Beat the Clock!
Your Club can build Distinguished Club Program credit and meet the membership requirements by adding new members before the end of the Toastmasters year. When a Club adds 5 members during May and June, it earns a club banner ribbon and a special discount code for 10% off the next club order from Toastmasters International.
